Taking Targeting to a New Level

We had a visit today from Terry Popowich and Jason Burnett of Micro Target Media, who have the most exciting political tool I’ve seen in a long time.  They described it best as four generations ahead of current targeting technology.

It makes sense that their product has done so well in the private sector. Big, for-profit companies always seem to be ahead of the political consulting community in implementing new technologies.  Micro Target Media is no different - they are just now making headway in the political world.

The first groups to successfully implement their technology will set the standard for the next campaign cycle.  Their presentation is longer and more detailed than I will repeat here.  But in short, their cameras and software can identify different demographic traits of any crowd.  Then they can measure emotive responses of those in that crowd.  Throw in some RFID tags for everyone in that crowd, and you have the most advanced targeting technology I’ve ever seen.  Privacy will be a concern as they move in to the political market, but they were smart to have already addressed that with their corporate clients.
